At B.Beautë, lip blushing is approached through color theory, undertone, proportion, and the way your lips naturally move. The goal is not to create a painted-on lip. It is to restore softness, balance, and definition that feels believable on your face.
Color is customized rather than selected from a one-shade-fits-all chart, with the healed result, not the immediate post-treatment color—as the final target.

How long it lasts
Lip Blushing is semi-permanent, not permanent. Most clients can expect their result to soften gradually over time, with longevity influenced by skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, aftercare, color choice, and individual healing. Refresh appointments help maintain tone and definition as the pigment naturally fades.

Your treatment includes custom color planning, lip design, the initial procedure, and aftercare guidance. Touch-up appointments are separate.
TOUCH-UPS
Your first appointment begins the result. Healing completes it.
Think of Lip Blushing as a process rather than a one-and-done appointment. Your initial treatment establishes the color and shape; your healed result tells us whether refinement is needed. Some clients heal beautifully after one treatment, while others benefit from an additional session to build saturation, restore balance, or perfect areas that retained more softly.

Touch-up pricing is based on when the appointment is completed, not when it is originally scheduled. The lips must be fully healed before additional work is performed. Previous permanent makeup, corrective work, or coverups require assessment before treatment. If existing pigment is too dark, saturated, discolored, or extends beyond the shape we can safely refine, removal may be recommended before new cosmetic tattooing. Corrective work may require multiple sessions and additional investment, and healed results cannot be guaranteed.

Custom color
Pigment is selected and adjusted according to undertone, existing lip color, and the healed result we are working toward.
Treatment
Color is implanted gradually and intentionally to create an even, refined result rather than excessive saturation.
Heal & refine
The lips soften considerably as they heal. Final color is assessed only after the healing cycle is complete.

A few things clients usually want to know.
How do I prepare for my lip blush appointment?
Thoughtful preparation helps support a smoother treatment, comfortable healing, and soft, even color retention.
3–5 days before
- Keep your lips consistently hydrated.
- Gently exfoliate away any dry or flaky skin—no aggressive scrubbing.
- Increase your water intake and avoid allowing your lips to become dry or chapped.
If you have a history of cold sores
Lip treatments may trigger a recurrence in clients with a history of cold sores. Please let me know before your appointment and consult your medical provider about whether preventative antiviral medication is appropriate for you.
24–48 hours before
- Avoid alcohol and limit caffeine.
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, or blood-thinning supplements unless medically necessary or directed by your healthcare provider.
- Avoid anything that leaves the lips irritated, inflamed, cracked, or overly sensitive.
The day of
- Arrive with clean lips—no lipstick, liner, gloss, or lip products.
- Enjoy a meal beforehand and arrive well hydrated.
- Feel free to bring your favorite lip products or inspiration shades.
If you’ve recently had lip filler, are experiencing unusual sensitivity or irritation, or have a history of cold sores, please let me know before your visit so we can make sure your appointment is timed appropriately.
Will my lips look like lipstick?
The goal is a refined, wearable healed result. The lips appear brighter immediately after treatment and soften significantly during healing.
I recently had lip filler. How long should I wait?
Please wait at least 4 weeks after lip filler before your lip blush appointment. This gives the filler time to fully settle and any swelling to go down, so your shape and color are designed on your true lip. If you're planning filler after lip blushing, wait until your lips are fully healed.
Can lip blushing correct uneven tone?
It can help create a more balanced appearance, but the treatment plan depends on your natural lip tone, undertone, and desired result.
